On September 12, 2019, the "2019 ASEAN Countries Tropical Flower and Garden Landscape Training Course" sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China, undertaken by ICBR, and co-organized by the China Flower Association was successfully concluded in Beijing. Trainees from Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand attended the closing ceremony. Prof. JIANG Zehui, director of ICBR, president of the China Flower Association, and co-chair of INBAR Board of Trustees, attended the closing ceremony and delivered a speech.
During the 14-day training, 11 trainees from ASEAN countries have conducted training in Beijing, Suzhou and Yangzhou, Jiangsu province. In her speech, Prof. JIANG Zehui said that although the training is short, the effect is very significant. Through the effective combination of the theoretical teaching, practical operation, discussion and communication, the students have learned and mastered professional knowledge and skills and felt the art and charm of Chinese flower gardens and landscapes in person. She emphasized that the current China-ASEAN relations have broad prospects for development, and she hope that the trainees will use this seminar as a link to share with friends and colleagues what they have seen, heard and learned in China, in order to deepen exchanges and enhance friendship between China and ASEAN countries.
Mr. Chan Phirun, an official from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia, spoke on behalf of the trainees, expressing gratitude to the Chinese government for their meticulous organization and the hard work on behalf of the staff of ICBR and the Chinese Flower Association. Mr. Chan said that the various activities of the seminar helped them deepen understanding of the Chinese people, Chinese culture, and the charm of Chinese civilization.
