The International Union of Forest Research Organizations, the World’s Forest Science Network, is the largest global network for forest science cooperation. It unites more than 15, 000 scientists in 650 member organizations in over 120 countries. Its members include government research institutes, universities, individual scientists, nongovernmental organizations, decisionmaking authorities, forest landowners, corporations, and others with a focus on forests.
Held every 5 years, the IUFRO World Congress is a premier global networking event, providing delegates with a unique opportunity to share experiences and learn what others are doing to protect, manage, and use forests around the world.
The 2014 IUFRO World Congresses will be held at Oct 5-11 in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the heart of the Western United State. The topics of this congress will include:
